Kibogora Hospital, located in a remote village in Rwanda, Africa, is a light on a hill, bringing physical and spiritual healing in Jesus’ name. 

This segment features a graphic introduction to the theme, “To the Ends of the Earth,” based on Acts 13:47 “I have made you a light to the nations, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.”

Just as Jesus went from village to village healing people’s diseased bodies and their bruised and hurt lives, He wants workers to go into today’s harvest fields. The needs of the world may seem overwhelming, but Jesus tells us that the harvest is ripe.

Just as Jesus’ hands welcomed and blessed the children, Free Methodists around the world are extending hands of compassion to give children hope. In Romania, one Free Methodist woman has dedicated her life to saving abused and abandoned children.

Although the Fulani people are Muslim, that did not stop Phyllis Sortor from working with them and creating a ministry within the area. Through her work, she has been able to build schools and hospitals that help work and care for the local children.

Free Methodists today are finding innovative ways to help free individuals from the bonds of poverty without creating dependency. In some of the poorest regions of Peru, the Free MethodistChurch has initiated a micro-enterprise project that is helping families move out of poverty and into a new hope.

Through the Balkan Ministry Center in Greece, Free Methodists are reaching out to immigrants by providing for their physical needs and by sharing the joy of Christ.

Over 1 billion people in the world have no access to quality health care. In Haiti, the staff at the Dessalines Hospital offers care to the sick in spite of few resources and overwhelming spiritual oppression. They provide HIV/AIDS programs as well as general medical care to people with no other access to health care.
