Make a Scene
Every culture finds a way to tell their story. Early civilization used cave drawings. Greeks used plays. Romans used coliseums. Minstrels, storytellers, artists and authors all played a roll in shaping cultures throughout history. Film, television and the Internet have taken front stage as our way of telling the story. Today’s technology has made video story-telling accessible.
The Free Methodist Church’s story started with making a scene. We stood up against slavery. We made a scene about the poor and disenfranchised. Just like Jesus, we wanted everyone to have a place. So we made our churches free — free to love God with all our hearts and free to love our neighbors as ourselves.
